Llama Alpaca Hikes

Are you looking for a new and exciting activity to enjoy outdoors? Spend time on a pastoral llama farm with our family and pet some cuddly llamas and alpacas. Your friends will never believe you went hiking with llamas and alpacas – unless you take them with you, of course.

A Non-Traditional Experience

We'll be the first to admit that visiting a llama and alpaca farm is not usually the first item on everyone's bucket list (it's most certainly not your usual recreational activity), but the experience is worth every second. So we'll help you make the most of your experience while at Clover Brooke Farm. You can come and take selfies and experience hiking with llamas (and alpacas), our personable, charismatic four-legged friends. Some say

“Best value in town, spending close to two hours with these incredible animals, truly an unique experience” written by Amy T.

A Unique Alpaca Farm

Our animals are like family, and they're very well-socialized. Our llamas and alpacas are some of the friendliest and most charismatic you'll meet in the Hudson Valley at our llama and alpaca farm. That's in Hyde Park, New York, not Pawling. (Yes, this is a typical mix-up.) So, are you ready for a llama/alpaca hike?

The Best Day Ever Includes Hiking With Llamas

Come and experience "The best day ever" – our guests' words, not ours – on an exhilarating llama hike with our four-legged friends.

A One-Of-A-Kind Outdoor Adventure On An Alpaca Farm

This one-of-a-kind outdoor adventure will start with a tour of our alpaca farm, where you'll learn about the history of our 1850 farmhouse in Hudson Valley on 25 pastoral acres. You'll also meet some of our smaller friends, like our Pygoras goats, sheep, and overly friendly barn cats.

Yes, the cats are a part of the experience, and petting them is perfectly okay!

When The Hike Begins

On this journey, we will lead you and your furry friend through peaceful paddocks, meadows, a bass pond, and to the top of a scenic vista, where we recommend stopping for some llama or alpaca selfies. We always encourage our patrons to capture these memories and share them with their loved ones.

A Well-kept Route

We prioritize your experience at every turn on our alpaca and llama farm. That's why we ensure your hike is nothing short of picturesque. The route is well-kept and just a mile long with gorgeous greenery and fresh air, allowing for a wonderful forest bathing experience. We'll wrap up the tour and give you enough time to browse the keepsakes in the Farm Store for that perfect farm souvenir.

A Few Important Requirements To Note

Each visitor must buy a ticket before they visit the llama/alpaca farm, and participants must be at least eight years old. An adult must accompany all hikers under the age of 16 years old (who have also purchased a ticket). No one may accompany you on your trip as a tagalong. Tickets that allow you to share are available for purchase—however, no more than two people per animal. For the safety of our visitors, their are NO strollers, wheelchairs or individuals with crutches allowed on this hike, due to the terrain and two steep hills.
